About Koriyama Aikikai
In April 1971, it was established at the Butokuden in Shimizudai, joined the Koriyama City Sports Association in the following year, 1972, and now a wide range of members, regardless of age and gender, practice Aikido at the Koriyama General Gymnasium Judo Hall. We are training long time, we have been instructed by the late Mr. Sadateru Arikawa (Shihan,9 dan) of the Aikikai Hombu Dojo. We have been working on the development of the association and the spread of Aikido, and have reached the present. In addition to weekly training, we open our doors to the general public by holding performance demonstrations, etc., and with the aim of popularizing Aikido, we invite experts from the local sports world to hold lectures, etc. We are working to cultivate our spirit and improve our personality. We will continue to strive for the development of Koriyama Aikikai and the popularization of Aikido as an association that is loved by the citizens with the spirit of universal aiki (love).

Admission fee
3,000 JPY (first time membership only)

General class (High school and above) : 2,000 JPY/month
Youth class (age 10 to Junior high school) : 1,000 JPY/month * Family member's yourth will be free.
* Includes sports insurance fee.
(Basically, members are covered by sports safety insurance, but please handle injuries and accidents at your own risk during our activities such as training and demonstrations.)
* Membership fees are paid in one lump sum for 6 months or 12 months.
* If you are already a member of another Aikikai certified/registered dojo and wish to continue practicing at our Koriyama Aikikai dojo due to a job transfer or attending school, etc., please pay the visitor membership fee. The amount will be adjusted individually).
